What the score measures
The Low-Impact Operations Score measures a supplier's documented readiness to reduce and report operational emissions. It covers equipment energy profile, fuel or energy logs, mission-level CO2e estimates, local or shared mobilisation, renewable site power and recognised environmental management documentation.
It is not a full life-cycle assessment and must not be presented as one.
Three evidence levels
- Estimated — calculated from structured supplier inputs
- Declared — supported by a supplier explanation or uploaded material
- Verified — reviewed by NEREVIK before a badge or climate-weighted priority is shown
Buyer-controlled matching
A buyer can keep the standard technical ranking, use a balanced model, or prioritise the lowest verified operational footprint. Safety, competence and technical fit always remain mandatory and cannot be traded for climate points.
Comparable project data
The next measurement step is a mission-specific estimate based on mobilisation distance, vessel or vehicle fuel, equipment energy use and operating hours. Results should be shown as an estimate with assumptions, source and date — never as a guaranteed saving.
No unsupported green claims
A high score means that specified low-impact capabilities and reporting controls have been documented. It does not mean that a company or every service it provides is generally 'green', 'carbon neutral' or the greenest in the market.
